New Old New Gothenburg
At the same time that Katxerê Medina made Figuring Times for the Can You Dig It? project in Sweden, she made a film (New Old New Gothenburg) as a separate work in a room that was associated with the larger project.

Katxerê writes “Nothing of the past will be preserved under the ground. Everything from the old city has to be removed. The earth has to be cleaned from its past remains that are analyzed and preserved in laboratories and museums. What used to be a burred churchyard is now filled with electrical cables.”
