Aggresjoner - Aggressions 1-6

Bård Breivik

In 1974, the Norwegian sculptor Bård Breivik (1948-2016) made Aggresjoner [Aggressions] 1-6: six mahogany hinged boxes, each containing a different set of objects. It was part of Breivik’s first one-person show and was purchased by the Vestlandske kunstindustrimuseum [West Norway Museum of Decorative Arts, Bergen], which is now part of KODE in Bergen. Each box is 3.5 x 59.9 x 29.9 cms.

• Aggresjoner 3: Flint

• Aggresjoner 4: Wrought-iron sickle

• Aggresjoner 5: Razor blade in highly polished steel

• Aggresjoner 6: Transistor parts
